Massage Therapy

Tui Na massage is a form of massage therapy that originated in Ancient China. Along with Acupuncture, Qi gong, and Chinese herbal medicine, it’s one of the four main branches of traditional Chinese medicine.

It’s based on the theory that imbalances of Qi, which is the body’s vital life force or energy, can cause blockages or imbalances that lead to symptoms such as pain and illness. Tui Na massage is similar to acupuncture in that it targets specific acupuncture points, but practitioners use fingers instead of needles to apply pressure to stimulate these points (or portals).

Tui Na is used primarily for pain, stiffness and other problems in muscles, tendons and joints. But also as a general well-being and balance. One of the main intentions of Tui Na massage is to boost blood circulation by stimulating the body’s energy flow. Treatments can be scheduled to 60 min and 90 min.
